FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can audition?
Any group with at least 8 members who can show exceptional talent in singing and dancing or a combination can be considered to audition for Showtime on One Kapamilya Go Showtime. Four (4) groups will be selected to join Showtime on One Kapamilya Go on September 12.
What are the other criteria for age and nationality?
There is no age limit for the audition. If there are minors in the group, the Group leader should be the guardian for them. If all participants are minors, the group should be represented by one guardian only.
There should be at least 1 Filipino or of Filipino lineage in the group.
What are the requirements for joining Showtime on One Kapamilya Go?
a)8 TO 20 MEMBERS PER GROUP
b) PERFORMANCES LIMITED TO SINGING, DANCING, AND/OR COMBINATION
c) PERFORMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN MUSIC. PARTICIPANTS WILL PROVIDE THEIR OWN MUSIC ON CD. IT IS THE PARTICIPANTS RESPOSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THEIR MUSIC WILL PLAY. NO MUSIC, NO AUDITION.
d) GROUP LEADER SHOULD SUBMIT REGISTRATION AND PROVIDE ANY TWO (2) VALID IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS WITH PHOTO (DRIVER’S LICENSE, PASSPORT, SOCIAL SECURITY, COMPANY ID AND/OR SCHOOL ID, EMPLOYMENT RECORD)
e) COSTUMES, PROPS, “GIMMICKS” TO BE PROVIDED BY GROUP
f) RUNNING TIME OF PERFORMANCE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 3 ½ MINUTES ON STAGE
g) A 15 SECOND INTRODUCTION IS REQUIRED
h) SELECTED GROUPS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND SATURDAY REHEARSALS ON SEPTEMBER 11 AT THE VENUE
i) SELECTED GROUPS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRAVEL, BOARD & LODGING, ETC.
j) SELECTED GROUPS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE END OF THE AUDITIONS.
I am just 4 ft 5 in tall, do you have minimum height requirement?
No, we do not have height requirements, nor we have issues on disabilities, gender, race, nationality, religion, political and spiritual concerns as long as they can showcase their talent.
Of Filipino lineage, what do you mean by that?
You are of Filipino lineage if both or one of your parents is born Filipino or born of at least one Filipino parent or with Filipino blood.
I really want to audition but there is no schedule near my place, can the producers bring me to one of the auditions?
All applicants will have to go to the audition venue on their own expenses.
What are the requirements once the group is selected?
Selected groups are required to attend rehearsals on September 11 at a time and venue that will be announced in the future.

Who are the members of the screening committee?
Screening committee will be composed of people directly connected with ABS-CBN International and the The Filipino Channel.
How do we know that we have been selected?
Four (4) groups will be selected. The Group names will be selected at the end of the auditions (unless judges need that more time for deliberation or producers feel the need for a second round of auditions)
Do we need to make payments to audition?
No, auditions will be for free.
Can I accompany somebody who is auditioning?
Yes, your utmost show of support for your family members or friends is highly encouraged before and after the audition. But during the audition proper, only the group members listed on the registration form will be allowed on the audition and for judging area.
I cannot make it on the auditions schedules, can I request for a private audition?
No. Apart from the fact that it would be totally unfair to the applicants who bothered to attend the scheduled auditions, the production team will not have time once those have ended.
Do I need to fill-in an Application Form before attending an audition?
The registration form is available on line and needs to be submitted prior. Registration must be submitted on-line or e-mailed to Eric_Pugeda@abs-cbn.com to receive confirmation.
I need to travel quite some distance in order to attend the audition; will everyone be seen by the producers?
Due to the limited time, we will try to audition as many groups as the audition time can provide.

What I hope to win from Showtime?
The Grand Winning Group (to be judged at One Kapamilya Go on September 12) will win $1,000 for the group.
What are the criteria for judging?
Judging is purely subjective per the judges present. The overall impact of the performance is the main thing to look for. Of course, choreography, synchronicity, musicality, costume, creativity and ingenuity will help.
If selected as a finalist, will we be given the shows tape (DVD) after the event on Sept. 12 for us to keep?
Video copies of the performances on Sept. 12 will not be available until after the event and after a special has been air for broadcast (if any.) Finalist can request for a copy of the video after it has been aired as a special.
If selected as a finalist, will we be given tickets for our family and friends?
The members of the group will be given passes for them to be able to enter back stage. However, complimentary tickets for family members and friends are still in review.
If our group should win, will we be given a chance to perform in the Philippines for Showtime?
There is no promise of employment, contact and other appearance on any other ABS-CBN shows if the group becomes a winner. The group appearance is only for Showtime to be held in One Kapamilya Go on September 12, 2010.
